Beginning in 1962, a quarterly periodical for the U.S. bowls community was produced and provided free to all members of the American Lawn Bowling Association (and to others by subscription). It was initially titled ALBA Bowls until 2001 when reorganization created the U.S. Lawn Bowls Association (now Bowls USA). The name of the publication was then changed to USLBA Bowls until the Spring edition of 2002 when it became Bowls USA. In 2001, the number of annual editions was reduced from four to three. Publication ceased after the Autumn 2009 edition.

Thanks to the efforts of Harold Esch and others, copies were maintained in the organization's archives. Valuable information about the history of bowls in the U.S. (people, club & division reports, tournament results and more) is contained in their pages.
