Bowls USA governs the sport of bowls in the USA and is a member of World Bowls, the organization that establishes worldwide Laws of the Sport. We invite those who are unfamiliar with this wonderful game to browse our site and learn more. Better yet, visit a club and roll a few. We think you'll like it !
The national association consists of clubs organized into seven geographic divisions. Bowlers can enjoy a friendly social game of daily play in their local club or compete in club, division or national tournaments. Those who so wish may also be considered to represent the U.S. at international events.

In what other sport can a 75 year old beat a 25 year old? Can women consistently play with men? Are mixed teams the norm? Have an active social side? Require little or no practice?
P.S. Probably the least expensive sport in the country! Annual club fees are mostly in the $100 range.

Many clubs invite guests to their greens for an introduction to the sport. Check with your local club for details.
You don't have to wait for the Open House. Find a club near you and schedule an introductory lesson. Then review the rules and terminology (the game) before you go. Many clubs also support social (non-playing) members or spouses for other events throughout the year.
World Bowls establishes the worldwide Laws of the Sport of Bowls. Revised for the 2011 season, the Laws are posted at World Bowls.
Bowls USA has adopted the worldwide Laws and imposes additional requirements for U.S. play. Worldwide and U.S. rules are included in a booklet (shown) that is provided to all Bowls USA members (see your club representative). Click here for the U.S. Regulations included in the booklet.
