This is a photograph of Jimmy Graham in 1986 sitting a reminiscing with Ray Sayer from the Rhode Island Slater Park Lawn bowls club(now defunct). This was taken at the US Championships held in Santa Barbara. Ray was 98 at the time and traveled to watch his grandsons play. Jimmy came by and spent some time on the practice days. Jimmy was a great member of the Eastern Division playing in the Fernliegh LBC for years in West Hartford Ct. I wonder how many times these great gentleman played each other over the years.

Pleas share this around, its a great little intro video that all clubs can use. It's from our good friends up north in Canada who'll take part in a great 150 year celebration this year and this promo video showcases the sport we all love.
Just explain we have US. Championship bowls as well.
We get nor respect! Apparently tonight on Jeopardy What is Lawn Bowling? was the answer to a question I'm still trying to find out. The picture above was sent by my niece Sarah McKeever when she saw it on TV. The only attempt at a guess was "What is Bocce?"
