One of our all-time greats, Neil McInnes passed away on February 2, 2017. He was 88. Condolences may be sent to his family at 1108 N. Jackson, Glendale, CA 91207.
Neil is a Hall of Famer inducted for his tenacious play and superb skill in the sport of bowls, Here he is pictured George Ralston Jr., Joe Sheppard, Frank Souza and Kenny Degenhardt as they represented the U.S. internationally. Neil is considered one of the top players in this country and our heart goes out to his family in their loss. It's a loss for lawn bowls! Our head umpire Melanie Vizenor is bringing back a popular column from our former head umpire extraordinaire Conrad Melton called Ump Stumpers where we're asked how we might resolve an issue that arises during the course of a match using the Laws of the Sport of Bowls to defend your argument. This is meant to be a fun informative conversation that will test and challenge your knowledge of the game.
