I have been a member of the Sarasota Lawn Bowling club and had the honor of playing in the US Open for two years in a row. I have played against the best players in the world and made friends for a lifetime! I live in Sarasota because of the club and bowl everyday and love our club, it's history and our wonderful members! We have all volunteered to care for the club and grow our membership and are so proud of our historic and incredibly special club! It is an historic gem and combines the past with an exciting future as lawn bowling will most likely be in the Olympics! Many of our Sarasota members won medals and both US Open and most likely would in the Olympics too!!! If you have not been over to see us or try bowling see you soon! GO SLBC!!!

Sarasota Lawn Bowling Club is a key element of downtown Sarasota. It is a great meeting place for people from different countries bringing many dollars to the area. Many lawn bowlers come to the area for the winter months specifically to lawn bowl. It is a historic site and is in constant use, especially from September through May every year.
