Memorial Fund

The USLBA Memorial Fund, Inc., as a tax exempt* organization, permits individuals or corporations to make tax deductible contributions to further the sport of lawn bowls in the USA.
Your support via this fund helps to promote lawn bowls and keep alive a sport we all have come to love so much.

How to Contribute

Complete the Contribution Form and mail it to the treasurer at the address provided.
Personal or business checks, travelers checks and bank drafts are all acceptable.
Appreciated Securities give you the advantage of a tax deduction for the full market value. Since the Memorial Fund is tax exempt, capital gains taxes do not have to be paid.
In addition to direct gifts, you can support lawn bowls by:
  • Leaving instructions to your executor that you want contributions sent to the USLBA Memorial Fund
  • Making a direct bequest in your will
  • Establishing a charitable trust that you control and will provide you with tax benefits and a lifetime income
  • Please discuss this with a financial advisor.

Fund Activities

Activities are supported to the extent possible with available funds.
General
  • Unrestricted, includes support for the physically challenged.
  • Foster public interest in the sport of bowls
Technical
  • Render technical assistance to communities in promoting the development of new greens or refurbishment of existing greens
Membership
  • Support membership activities including events and/or related materials
Instruction and Coaching
  • Support activities that enhance the skill levels of lawn bowls participants and divisions hosting Bowls USA training camps.
Youth Advisory Group
  • Support activities to develop youth programs throughout the United States
National Championships
  • Provide travel assistance for participants and financial assistance to the club(s) hosting the championships.
International Events
  • Provides assistance to members of Team USA in representing the United States and support any club hosting such an event in the US.

The USLBA Memorial Fund, Inc., is a California Non-Profit Corporation and is tax exempt under IRS Section 501-c-3 with contributions being deductible to the contributor. The Fund is also tax exempt in California under Section 23701d-c-1.

Persons desiring to review the Fund's recent IRS filings, the IRS Letter of Determination, or the Fund's initial application for tax exempt status should contact the Fund Treasurer at the address listed.
