Benefits of BUSA Membership

Grant Program

The Mission: The Grant Program is to provide funds for 100% Bowls USA clubs(clubs whose membership all belong to Bowls USA) to promote club development and to assist recruiting and retaining members. Grant funds may be used for projects that are intended to attract new members or to improve the playing experience of the club.

Guidelines

  • All 100% clubs within a division are eligible and encouraged to apply for grants.
  •  Grant Applications are announced via eblast.
  •  All requests must have current financial statements including all savings and investment statements. (Rainy Day Funds).
  •  Grants may be fully or partially funded based on a review of the proposed project costs.
  •  Grants may be fully or partially funded based on the total number of grant requests.
  •  Grants may be used for projects that are intended to attract new members .
  •  Grants may be used for projects to improve the playing experience of the club such as greens improvements or equipment.
  •  Grant money will not be provided for food or refreshments.
  •  Grant recipients must submit a follow-up report on the success of the project.  Non-receipt of a follow-up report may put the club in jeopardy of receiving further grants.

Membership Incentive Programs for All Clubs

The Mission of the Membership Incentive Program is to reimburse clubs that show an increase in Bowls USA Membership as of December 31 compared to the total Bowls USA Members  it had the previous year as of December 31.

Individual clubs will receive $10 for each net increased members. The Goal of the program is to reward clubs for supporting the national organization by growing its' membership.

Guidelines

​
  • All clubs within the US are eligible for the program.
  • Membership numbers are based on year end data in the Bowls USA treasurer's possession on December 31 of each year.
  • Incentives are paid to individual clubs at a rate of $10 PER each net increased member.
  • Please note that this $10 PER additional Members will only be paid on the difference at the end of each year.  (So if a club gets 50 new members, but loses 51, they do not qualify for the reward.)
