Our Story

Picture
Bowls USA is run entirely by volunteers at every level. It functions and grows because of the volunteerism and dedication of its members.

Any BUSA member can help organize and manage their club, division, or national organization in a variety of activities.

Volunteering lets you learn about the game and be an active part of a larger sports organization. You can help your club host a tournament or take a more active role as a committee member in your Division.
Your assistance, whatever it is, is appreciated by every member of Bowls USA.

Bowls USA (BUSA) governs the sport of bowls nationally.  Its mission is to promote, foster, and govern the sport of bowls in the United States. Bowls USA supports its clubs and individual members through a variety of programs and educational opportunities.

BUSA is a Member National Authority  of World Bowls, the international organizing body. Its many objectives are aimed at advancing and administrating the game of bowls throughout the world.  World Bowls establishes the Laws of the Sport of Bowls and policies to standardize bowls play throughout the world.

In the US, bowls clubs are organized geographically into seven divisions.   When you become a member of a club, you also become a member of a division.  Bowlers can find clubs by searching within an area of the country and looking at the Division website for a list of clubs.
