Team USA represents Bowls USA in major world bowls events, it is our National Team.
Team USA sends men’s and women’s teams to international tournaments sponsored by World Bowls. In addition to World Bowls events, many countries host international tournaments and invites Bowls USA to send its national team. World Bowls events include:

Joining Team USAAny Bowls USA member may apply to Team USA.
Team applications are made available annually and submitted applications are assessed by National Team Selectors. If a player shows potential as an international competitor, they are invited to a camp to try out for Team USA. Selectors consider a player’s demonstrated abilities and willingness to compete internationally in determining which combination of players will be on Team USA. Team USA typically includes 10 men and 10 women. Players are asked to participate in specific international events depending on their experience level and the tournament format. |

1. Be a U.S. citizen and a current Bowls USA member 2. Meet the following conditions:
3. Feel capable to pay most of costs associated with an international event 4. Be prepared to sign a letter of commitment (Players and Officials Agreement) to Team USA and fulfill its participation criteria 5. Hold a U.S. Passport with an expiration date a minimum of six (6) months following the international event(s) |
Become a Team USA Selector
There is an open application process for men and women from all parts of the US to apply to become a Selector for Team USA.
Selectors play a critical role in the development and management of competitive bowlers. They have an enthusiasm and commitment to identify and evaluate talented players, selecting the best teams to represent the US in international competitions.
