Become a Bowls USA Certified Coach

Coach's Code of Conduct Agreement (PDF)
Coaching and the development of bowls are the key elements in the success of our sport. It is the objective of Bowls USA to have well-qualified coaches across the country to assist in raising the enjoyment and standard of our sport and to provide the necessary assistance to players of all ages and skill levels.

Bowls USA offers club coach training and certification clinics around the country. Any Bowls USA member may register for the course if they have been bowling at least two years.

Become a Certified Club Coach

Date: Nov. 10 & 11, 2025, Monday and Tuesday
Time: 9am-4pm daily
Location: Fairway LBC, Sun City, AZ
Presenter:  Jackie Tucker, Bowls USA Coach and Presenter/Assessor
 
This course is open to all members of Bowls USA with a recommendation from their Club President.
Bowls USA is sponsoring the course at no cost to participants during 2025.

Qualifications to take the Club Coach
Certification clinic:

  1. A minimum of at least two years bowling
  2. Be a Bowls USA member
  3. Written endorsement from participant's club required
  4. Preferably be a Bowls USA umpire (desirable but not mandatory, ​​at this time)

How to schedule a
Club Coaching clinic

  • Clinics may be sponsored by a club or division
  • Clinics are scheduled by contacting  the National Coaching Committee
  • NCC members are certified by Bowls Australia and Bowls USA
  • Clinic size is determined by the sponsor and the number of instructors participating
  • Registration for clinic is required
  • The cost is regularly $95 per person, but BUSA is making this free in 2025.  This includes all manuals and certification as a Club Coach.
